As we welcome in the New Year and prepare for new beginnings, we would like to take this opportunity to reflect on all the hard work and dedication of the staff at South Bay Sports & Physical Therapy over this past year. 
The devoted staff here at South Bay had a busy year during 2009.  First and foremost, in January 2009, Dr. Maria Salonia and the staff at South Bay celebrated their 20th anniversary! In March, we hosted a Bowl-a-thon to raise money for our High School Scholarship Program. During April, we went Green to help promote awareness and gain participation in recycling. We collected used household batteries, cell phones, and eye glasses.
 
During the month of May, we honored two of our patients by participating in the 7th annual Arthritis Walk in Babylon. In June, we helped stop childhood hunger by participating in the Great American Bake Sale.  Throughout the month of July, we hosted a luggage raffle to help support a local youth center.  During August, we collected homegrown fruits and vegetables to donate to the Circle of Love Ministry in Copiague. 
 
In September, we launched our Club M.E.T program! To celebrate Physical Therapy month in October, we held contests and awarded prizes each week. During November, we collected non-perishable food items to donate to the needy members of the community. December was a month to remember, as we donated pet supplies to the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter.
 
Additionally, South Bay hosted many lectures and presentations throughout the year, both in house and at local senior centers, club meetings, and libraries.
 
We are looking forward to another successful year in 2010!
