“BACK TO WORK” PROGRAM
Functional Capacity Evaluations

Our office is the only facility within the community that has a certified therapist on staff who is qualified to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE).  By reviewing the injured employees job description and performing the 3-4 hour FCE, we can provide a detailed report to the employer on the injured employees functional abilities and limitations. This is a crucial tool for physicians, employers and insurers who need to determine the injured employees capacity to return back to the work force.
 
FCE’s are easily conducted in our office but we also have the capability to conduct FCE’s in Nassau County, Queens and Manhattan. 

    When employees are injured on the job, the  
          employer has 3 goals:
 

Our structured “BACK TO WORK” program will help to successfully achieve all of these objectives.
 
Once it is determined that the injured employee is not able to safely return to work, our “WORK HARDENING/WORK CONDITIONING” program helps to progress the injured employees physical therapy rehabiliation. This is a comprehensive, 2-8 hour daily program consisting of strengthening, simulated appropriate work tasks, functional activities, cardiovascular reconditioning, instruction in posture/body mechanics and sympton management.  
 
We are also able to go out into the community and offer job site analysis to assist workers in decreasing pain, identify ergonomic hazards and to educate workers in proper posture and body mechanics. proud in our involvement .
